Kristen Vierhaus has a natural tendency toward justice, fairness, and service. Her first legal internship was at the AIDS Legal Referral Panel in San Francisco where Kristen connected people living with HIV/AIDS to much-needed legal services and assisted them with legal issues ranging from eviction defense to preparing wills and healthcare directives. While in law school, Kristen worked as a Student Mediator in the USF Mediation Clinic to facilitate beneficial resolutions between parties involved in small claims disputes at San Francisco County Superior Court. Kristen also assisted with the USF tutoring program, focusing on Tort and Property Law. Before joining TLO Law, Kristen worked at a tenant’s law firm, where she assisted clients recover for injuries and damages caused by habitability issues willfully ignored by landlords.
At TLO Law, Kristen focuses on sexual assault and abuse liability, personal injury matters, including auto accidents, slip and falls, and premises liability, and general litigation. More than just an advocate, Kristen is compassionate, zealous, and empowers each client throughout the litigation process.
Kristen Vierhaus graduated from University of San Francisco School of Law in May 2018 and passed the bar soon after. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA (Go Zags!) in 2015, majoring in Political Science, with a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies. A Bay Area native, Kristen grew up in South San Francisco with her parents and two sisters. She still lives on the Peninsula with her husband, Travis, and their two cats, Lucy and Alice. When not in the office, Kristen loves spending time with her family and friends, blasting her favorite music (and doing her best to dance), gardening, travelling, and watching documentaries.
Kristen is also an active member of the Consumer Attorneys of California, San Mateo County Trial Lawyers Association, San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association, San Mateo County Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, and the National Crime Victim Bar Association.
