Bobby Thompson
REPRESENTING CALIFORNIA / MISSOURI / COLORADO / NEW YORK
Bobby Thompson is the founder of TLO Law, P.C. and serves as the firm’s primary trial attorney. He founded the firm in 2010, alongside his father with a guiding principle that still defines the practice today: treat every client with respect, empathy, and unwavering advocacy. What began as a small firm has since grow into a nationally recognized trial practice known for taking on complex, high-stakes cases and seeing them through to verdict.
Raised in Kansas City as the son of a plaintiff’s trial lawyer, Bobby was exposed early to the realities faced by injured individuals and families confronting powerful corporations and insurance companies. Those experiences shaped his career and instilled a lifelong commitment to protecting people who have been wronged. Bobby has devoted his practice to representing injured clients and holding defendants accountable when they place profits over safety.
Bobby is an active leader within the trial-lawyer community. He is a past president of the San Mateo County Trial Lawyers Association (SMCTLA) and currently serves on the board of the Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC). His work has been recognized with numerous honors, including being named a finalist for Trial Lawyer of the Year by CAOC in 2022 and receiving SMCTLA’s Trial Lawyer of the Year award in 2023.
Beyond the courtroom, Bobby is deeply committed to giving back. He regularly volunteers and fundraises for Samaritan House, takes on pro bono cases, and donates a portion of his fees to consumer-focused charities dedicated to promoting public safety and protecting vulnerable communities. Bobby approaches his work with a strong sense of responsibility and a belief that effective advocacy can make a real difference for the people he represents.
